DataHub Connect gives you free, secure access to your DataHub Pro from your phone, tablet, or laptop — just like you were connected to the boat’s DataHub Wi-Fi.
This means you can:
Monitor your boat’s live instruments and AIS data from anywhere, easily, as if you were onboard.
Access GPS, Navigation and Environmental data, including:
GPS position, speed, heading, wind, depth, rudder angle, rate of turn, pitch, roll, temperature, and fluid levels (fuel, fresh water, waste water, grey water, black water, oil, and livewell)

Use marine navigation and NMEA apps remotely.
Apps such as OpenCPN, Navionics, AquaMap, Time Zero, Expedition, NMEARemote (iOS) or NMEA Dashboard (Android) can be configured to connect as if they were onboard.Access the DataHub Pro web interface remotely.
Log in to the DataHub Pro using a web browser to view status and change settings.
What you need to use DataHub Connect
Hardware
A DataHub Pro (firmware v4.44 or later recommended) connected to the Internet.
Phone/tablet/laptop for remote access.
Optional: onboard devices such as routers, webcams, or MFDs you wish to access remotely beyond the DataHub Pro on your boat's network.
Subscriptions
A PredictWind Forecast Professional subscription.
Free ZeroTier account.
Optional ZeroTier Essential ($18/month) for access to other onboard devices connected to the DataHub.
Apps
The ZeroTier app (iOS/Android/Mac/PC).

DataHub Pro: How to enable DataHub Connect
Step-by-step setup
Connect to DataHub Pro Wi-Fi.
Open a Chrome or Safari browser and type in https://zerotier.com.
Create a free ZeroTier account by clicking Start for Free.
Create a new network in ZeroTier Central by clicking Networks > New Network.
Click on your New Network to open it.
In the top-right-hand corner, copy the 16-digit Network ID.
Open a new browser tab and and type 10.10.10.1 in the URL bar.
Log in with the default username admin and password admin.
Paste the Network ID from ZeroTier into the Network ID field, then click Save & Apply.
Go to Internet > DataHub Connect. Tick Enable VPN, then click Save & Apply.
Refresh the ZeroTier network page.
Click to open and authorise the DataHub Pro device (ZT v1.16.0 Linux), then click SAVE.
On remote device: Install the ZeroTier app, join the network via ID or QR code and authorise in ZeroTier Central.
Connect: Use DataHub Pro's ZeroTier IP (shown in ZeroTier Central) for NMEA apps or browser access.
How to check it is working correctly
At dock: From phone on cellular, open NMEA app (e.g., NMEA Dashboard), connect to DataHub Pro ZeroTier IP:10110. Verify live GPS/wind data.
Simulate remote: Disable local Wi-Fi, join ZeroTier network, access 10.10.10.1 web interface and see status lights/data.
Extended test: If subscribed, access Starlink admin or chartplotter IP via ZeroTier.
Common failure modes and how to fix them
Device not appearing in ZeroTier: Check DataHub Pro internet (LTE/Starlink), re-paste ID, Save & Apply. Refresh Central.
Not authorized: In ZeroTier Central, click device > Auth? switch on > Save.
No data in apps: Confirm app connects to ZeroTier IP (not 10.10.10.1), port 10110 UDP/TCP. Check N2K connection.
Flaky connection: Use stable internet on DataHub Pro. Disable phone battery optimization for ZeroTier app.
Troubleshoot order: 1) Ping ZeroTier IP. 2) Check DataHub logs at 10.10.10.1. 3) Reboot DataHub Pro.
Sailing-focused tips and best practices
Overnight anchor: Monitor anchor watch apps remotely via NMEA position data; set alerts for drag.
Ocean passage: Stream AIS/position to PredictWind tracking; check polars/instruments from crew ashore.
Redundancy: Pair with Anchor Alert app + visual transits. Use Iridium GO! tethered for sat backup.
Keep ZeroTier always-on profile for quick connects. Test weekly at marina Wi-Fi.
