To view a forecast for your area, you first need to save it as a forecast location in your PredictWind account. Once your location has been added, you can access detailed wind, wave and weather forecasts using a variety of forecast tools.

Step 1: Save your forecast location

In the PredictWind App

  1. Open the menu and tap Add Location.

  2. Allow GPS access if prompted.

  3. Drag the map to your preferred location.

  4. Save and name your location.

On the PredictWind Website

  1. Click Add Forecast Location.

  2. Search for your location or drag the marker to the desired position.

  3. Save and name your location.

To switch between your saved locations in the app, open the left-hand menu and select the location you want to view.

Step 2: View your forecast

Once your location has been saved, you can access the forecast using several different views.

Daily Briefing

The Daily Briefing uses artificial intelligence to summarize the forecast and highlight important weather trends over the coming days.

Forecast Tables and Graphs

Forecast Tables and Graphs provide detailed information for your location, including wind, waves, rain, cloud, temperature and many other forecast parameters.

Wind and Weather Maps

Maps allow you to see how weather systems develop across a wider region. You can view different forecast layers and models, animate the forecast timeline, and change the map resolution from the Forecast Options menu.

View current conditions

If you have a Basic forecast subscription or higher, you can also view real-time observations from nearby weather stations (where available). Comparing these observations with the forecast is a great way to validate forecast accuracy for your location.
