DataHub Pro : How to Change the 5 GHz Wi-Fi Channel

How to change the DataHub Pro 5Ghz Wi-Fi channel

Written by Matt Crockett

If another onboard Wi-Fi router, such as Starlink or Peplink, is using the same or an overlapping 5 GHz Wi-Fi channel as your DataHub Pro, changing the DataHub Pro channel may help reduce interference and improve Wi-Fi reliability.

The DataHub Pro uses 5 GHz channel 36 by default.

Change the DataHub Pro 5 GHz Wi-Fi Channel

  1. Connect your phone, tablet or computer to DataHub Pro Wi-Fi.

  2. Open Chrome or Safari.

  3. Enter 10.10.10.1 in the browser address bar.

  4. Log in to DataHub Pro using your admin credentials.

  5. Under Services, select Settings, then click WiFi in the top menu.

  6. Select the DataHub WiFi (5Ghz) tab.

  7. In the Channel drop-down box, select a different non-overlapping 5 GHz channel. For example, if another onboard Wi-Fi router is using channel 36, select channel 48.

  8. Click UPDATE to save the change.

Your device may briefly disconnect from DataHub Pro Wi-Fi while the Wi-Fi radio restarts. Allow up to a minute for the network to become available again, then reconnect if required.

Important Note: Some routers, including Starlink, manage their Wi-Fi channels automatically and do not provide manual channel configuration. Refer to the documentation from your other Wi-Fi router manufacturer for information on viewing or changing its Wi-Fi settings.
