Read forecast Tables in PredictRain

Compare model forecasts, expand weather rows and choose the information shown in Tables.

Written by Keryn McMaster

Tables show forecast values for your selected location and make it easy to compare weather models side by side.

Open Tables

  1. Select the required saved location.

  2. Tap Tables.

  3. Scroll horizontally to move through time.

  4. Scroll vertically to review the available forecast parameters and models.

Expand or collapse a parameter

  1. Find the parameter you want to inspect.

  2. Tap its weather icon in the first column.

  3. The expanded view shows values from the available models.

  4. Tap the icon again to return to the collapsed summary.

Collapsing a forecast parameter condenses it into a single summary row. Tap it again to expand the parameter and view each forecast model separately. The summary is calculated by averaging the available models while excluding outliers, giving you a quick overview of the general forecast consensus.

Change the parameters shown

  1. From Tables, tap the settings cog in the top-right corner.

  2. Turn each parameter on or off.

  3. Tap Done.

Blank cells and sailboat symbols

  • A blank cell means the forecast value is zero. A blank rainfall cell therefore means zero rainfall is forecast for that period.

  • A PredictWind sailboat symbol means data is unavailable for that model and parameter.
