How to set exclusion boundaries in the PredictWind Forecast website

How to Add an Exclusion Boundary for Weather Routing

  • Login to https://forecast.predictwind.com with your account details.

  • Click on Weather Routing and select Sail Routing or Power Routing

  • Click on Routing Options. (Upside down Teardrop with 2 lines in top right corner)

  • Select Boundaries.

  • Click Create Boundary.

  • Click on the map to set your desired boundaries.

  • Add all exclusion points and return to the first marker to close the shape.

  • Click on the X to finish setting your boundary area.

  • Calculate your route.

The routing provided will exclude the area of the boundary.

How to Delete an Exclusion Boundary

  • Click on Weather Routing and select Sail Routing or Power Routing

  • Click on Routing Options. (Upside down tear drop with 2 lines in top right corner)

  • Select Boundaries.

  • Click Edit/Add Boundary.

  • Click middle of the boundary (Pink Shape)

  • Click Delete Boundary.

How to set an exclusion boundary using coordinates

To add a boundary using coordinates, set up a boundary as usual, then click on any white dot on the boundary to add in the lat and long to get the exact coordinates you want for the boundary.
