The AIS Explorer App available on iOS allows you to view vessels via the AIS network, you can view Terrestrial and Satellite AIS positions anywhere in the World.

When you first download the AIS Explorer App ensure you allow access to photos and most importantly allow the AIS Explorer App to use your location while using the App, this means the App will geolocate to where you are.
AIS Explorer App Pro- Paid Features
Using the AIS Explorer App features such as, Vessel Search, Filters of Vessel type, Adding Favourites to follow, Satellite AIS positions with vessel details are all Pro features You need to create a registration via the Sign Up prompt when you tap on a paid feature and start the free trial to upgrade.
AIS Explorer App - Map View
Tap on Map to view AIS data in the map view.
The map will display AIS targets around your location, you can move and zoom your position using the standard tap and drag, pinch in and out gestures.
Tap on any vessel icon to see the current speed and direction of that vessel along with the vessel name and type.
AIS Explorer App - Search Feature
Tap on the Search button to find any vessel, you can use the vessel name or MMSI number,
Tap on the vessel name to be taken to its last reported position.
AIS Explorer App - Favourites Feature
You can tap on the heart icon to add the vessel to your favourites list.
By tapping on the heart icon at the top right, you can see all the boats on your favourites list displayed at one time.
AIS Explorer App - Filters
Tap on the filter icon top right. Here you can add or remove types of vessels you wish to see on the map. Once selected closing the Filter pop out applies the selected filters.
AIS Explorer App - Local Knowledge
Select Local knowledge, here you can also see the AIS reported vessel data relative to a great resource of information in Local Knowledge.
AIS Explorer App - Accounts Page
Use the Account Page to Manage subscriptions, your PredictWind Account and view other information about the AIS Explorer App.
