To get started with PredictWind Tracker download the PredictWind Tracker App from the App Store. iOS is available now and Android is coming soon.
You will need the following:
A cell phone or GPS-enabled tablet.
An Internet connection for your device.
A PredictWind Forecast Account on a Standard or Professional subscription. You can create an account or upgrade your PredictWind subscription in-app.
Upon launching the App, tap Get Started. If you have a PredictWind Forecast account, log in with your existing email address and password or create a new account.
The setup wizard will prompt you to create a GPS tracking page if you do not already have one. If you already have one, the App will upload new positions to it.

Location Services
Location Services are required for the app to track accurately and when it is in the background when using another app. Important Note: The app tracks only when you activate tracking in the app.
Upon opening, allow Location Services:
Check in the top left corner that location Precise: On is set, or tap to turn it on.
Tap Allow While Using App.
When prompted, tap Change to Always Allow.
How the App works
When you tap Start, the app will send a position report every 15 minutes using your device's Internet connection. Positions uploaded can be viewed on your personalized PredictWind tracking page. Share the tracking page URL with friends, family, and followers so they can monitor your boat's position and route in real-time.
