You can change the DataHub Pro's IP address and subnet. Before deciding to change the IP address, please check if connecting your other equipment to the DataHub Pro via the Ethernet WAN port would achieve the same effect more simply. When connected to Ethernet WAN, the DataHub Pro receives an assigned DHCP address from your server, e.g., Peplink or Starlink routers.
If you already use the WAN port for another device, such as a GO exec, and require two WAN ports on the DataHub Pro, please install the LAN2WAN2 Profile available the in the DataHub Pro menu under Services > Settings >Profiles. You can read more about How to use Profiles here.
How to change the DataHub Pro LAN IP address and subnet
To change the IP address and subnet of the DataHub Pro:
Log in to the DataHub Pro with the username and password: superadmin
Click on Network->Interfaces.
Click the blue Edit button on the LAN interface row.
Set the desired IPv4 address and click Save.
Click Save & Apply.
Disconnect from DataHub Pro Wi-Fi and wait 30 seconds before reconnecting. This clears your current IP address and collects a new assignment from the DataHub Pro on the new subnet.
Log in to DataHub Pro again using the new address, e.g., 192.168.0.1.
How to set a static IP for devices connected to the DataHub Pro
You can also set a static IP address for devices connected to the DataHub Pro via Wi-Fi or LAN. Devices must be configured in the same subnet as the DataHub Pro, with the DataHub Pro IP set as the DNS Server. You can also do this if you change the static IP address of the DataHub Pro, e.g. 192.168.1.1.
For example, to do this for a printer without changing the DataHub Pro IP address, configure the Printer settings to be on IP address 10.10.10.50, with a subnet mask of 255.255.255.0 and DNS of 10.10.10.1. The default IP DHCP allocation address start range is from *.*.*.101 to 251, so any IP address between 10.10.10.2 and 10.10.10.100 is available to set a static IP address for a connected device.
You can view or change the DataHub Pro Start IP address allocation range when logged into the Datahub as superadmin under Network > Interfaces > LAN (click Edit) > DHCP server > General Setup.
This screenshot shows the Start as offset from the DataHub Pro IP:
How to set a fixed DataHub Pro WAN/WWAN IP address
Usually, it is easiest to set a fixed IP address for the DataHub Pro's Ethernet WAN or Wi-Fi connection to another network by logging into the admin site for the network router it is connecting to and using the DHCP client configuration options to assign it a fixed IP. Some network router web interfaces don't offer this option, but you can do this in the DataHub Pro itself.
You might find this helpful if you can't see how to assign the DataHub Pro a fixed IP when connected to your Starlink or Peplink router.
To set a fixed DataHub Pro WAN/WWAN (Wi-Fi) IP address:
Log in to the DataHub Pro with the username and password: superadmin
Click on Network->Interfaces.
Click the blue Edit button on the WAN (Ethernet) or WWAN (Wi-Fi).
Click the Protocol drop-down box and select Static IP, then click SWITCH PROTOCOL.
Add your Static IP configuration settings, then click SAVE:
IPv4 Address - an IP address the DataHub Pro can use on the network
IPv4 Netmask - the subnet mask of the network, typically 255.255.255.0.
IPv4 Gateway - the IP address of the upstream Starlink or Wi-Fi router, e.g. 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1.
Use custom DNS servers - any valid DNS server e.g. Google DNS 8.8.8.8 or 8.8.4.4
Click SAVE & APPLY.
