Trouble sending SMS messages
If you are having trouble sending SMS messages using the Iridium GO! App please take the below steps and check the default service center number within the Iridium GO! App
Connect your iOS/Android device to the Iridium GO! Wi-Fi,
Open the Iridium GO! App
Go to "Settings"
Then select "Message"
Please check the number is set to +881662900005
When sending messages, always use the international dialing format. For example, for a US number, enter +1 followed by the phone number. If you're using your contact list, check that the number includes the country code before sending.
Trouble receiving SMS messages
If your Iridium GO! SMS messages are being received OK by the land-based cellular phone, but their reply is not being received back to the boat's Iridium GO!, then this tells us your SMS messaging is set up correctly however there could be an issue with the land-based cell phone.
The issue is that sending SMS messages from land-based cell phones to the Iridium GO! is very expensive - generally more than US$1 per message, so some Telecom companies do not allow this. The person on land that is trying to send you an SMS should contact their Telecom Company and ask if SMS messaging to Iridium satellite phones is allowed on their cellphone plan. Often it is blocked.

There is no limit to the number of messages that can be sent.
