Your PredictWind GPS tracking page is yours to keep and is set to never delete. If you change from one tracking device to another, you can continue using the same tracking page and keep your existing track history.
You can switch between supported tracking methods, including:
Iridium GO!
DataHub/DataHub Pro
PredictWind Tracker App (using Starlink, Wi-Fi, or mobile data)
Switching to a DataHub
If you're moving to a DataHub/DataHub Pro, your existing GPS tracking page and track history remain unchanged.
The DataHub can update the same tracking page using Iridium GO!, GO exec, Wi-Fi (including Starlink), or mobile data. If your DataHub is connected to an NMEA 2000 network with wind instruments, it can also upload True Wind Speed (TWS) and True Wind Direction (TWD) along with your position.
Please note, you can configure both your Iridium GO! and DataHub to update the same tracking page. However, we recommend disabling Iridium GO! tracking when the DataHub is available, as the DataHub provides more frequent and accurate position updates, as well as additional sailing data.
Switching to the PredictWind Tracker App
If you're switching from an Iridium GO! to the PredictWind Tracker App, simply download the app from the App Store or Google Play and follow the on-screen setup instructions.
Once configured, the app will continue updating your existing GPS tracking page, provided it has access to a cellular or high-speed internet connection (such as Starlink). You'll also be able to add blog posts and photos directly from the app.
