Set up at home or a location with high-speed Internet
It is simpler and quicker to set up at home or a place where you have access to high-speed internet and multiple devices for downloading Apps onto and viewing these set-up steps.
Fully charge your Iridium GO! exec device
Before using the device it must be charged up fully using the USB-C wall charger plugged directly into a wall power socket. Plug the USB-C cable into the second USB-C port on the device, as shown below.
Important Note: Your Iridium Go! exec device is shipped to you in a deep sleep mode. Powering up the device the first time requires lifting the antenna and a long press of the touchscreen power button for up to 15 seconds.
Please wait until Step 3 to power on the device.
Next, please install the Iridium GO! exec App and PredictWind Offshore App on all your devices, including laptops, phones and tablets.
Install the Iridium GO! exec App
The Iridium GO! exec App is for iOS and Android devices. It has all the control settings for the Iridium GO! exec including software updates, and allows your mobile to become a handset for voice calls when connected to the Iridium GO! exec device via Wi-Fi.

Install the PredictWind Offshore App
The PredictWind Offshore App is for iOS, Android, Mac & PC. This App downloads GRIB files, weather routing, departure planning and has all the great PredictWind features. It connects directly to the Iridium GO! exec for fast and easy direct downloads. The PredictWind App uses too much data, it is not suitable for use on the Iridium GO! exec. The PredictWind Offshore App compresses all weather data so it is the best and only cost-effective way to download weather data.

Important Notes:
You do not need to open a connection through the Iridium GO! exec using an 'All Open' Web/App profile to use the Offshore App.
When your computer or device is connected to the Iridium GO! exec Wi-Fi, the PredictWind Offshore App will automatically open the GO! exec firewall from an 'All Blocked' profile, and allow you to download weather data once you select 'Iridium GO! exec' as the download method.
Do not enable an Admin Pin when setting up the Iridium GO! exec. If you have the admin pin enabled, the Offshore App will not be able to download GRIB files.
Confirm your PredictWind Subscription
Access to PredictWind forecast data with your Iridium GO! exec is only available using the Offshore App from PredictWind with a Standard or Professional level of PredictWind forecast subscription. If you are unsure, click here to check your account and upgrade if required.
