MOB - Is my phone or watch supported?
Man Overboard is starting with specific device-and-operating-system combinations that we have tested and approved.
If your device and operating system are listed below, you're ready to continue.
Supported devices for the Man Overboard beta
Device | Operating system | Beta status | Download Link |
Apple Watch Ultra 3 | 26.6 | ✅ Tested and approved
Apple Watch 11 | 26.6 | ✅ Tested and approved
Apple Watch 9 | 27.0 beta | ✅ Tested and approved
Apple iPhone 17 Pro Max | 26.6.1 | ✅ Tested and approved | Pending Apple Review |
Apple iPhone 13 | 27.0 beta | ✅ Tested and approved | Pending Apple Review |
Google Pixel 8 | 17 | ✅ Tested and approved | In active development |
For the beta, approval applies to the specific device and operating system combinations we have tested.
If your device isn't listed, it doesn't necessarily mean Man Overboard won't work. It simply means we haven't approved that combination for beta use yet.
What are we testing next?
We're continuing to expand the range of devices supported by Man Overboard:
Samsung and Google Wear OS watches
Samsung Galaxy and Google Pixel Wear OS watches are under active testing, but are not yet approved. We are continuing to validate how Wear OS manages Wi-Fi connectivity and network switching while Man Overboard is running.
Reliable Wi-Fi communication with DataHub Pro is an important part of Man Overboard detection, so we want to complete this testing before approving these watches for the beta.
Garmin watches
Garmin is testing is planned for:
Garmin Forerunner 245
Garmin vívoactive 5
Garmin fēnix 8
These watches are not yet approved for the Man Overboard beta.
Download the Man Overboard app
If you have one of the approved devices above, you can now download the app.
Apple Watch - WatchOS
You'll also need a DataHub Pro onboard to use Man Overboard.
Apple Watch: Apple Watches have one radio antenna for both Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. Bluetooth must be enabled to download and install the app on your watch. When using Man Overboard, disable Bluetooth to ensure reliable Wi-Fi reconnection.
iPhone - iOS
iOS availability: The Man Overboard iOS app is currently under Apple Review and is not yet available to download from the App Store.
