Scope Alert Description
Real-time wind speed and depth data are sourced from your DataHub. If winds increase and your chain rode becomes unsafe, the Scope Alert triggers.
Important: Setting the distance from your bow roller to the depth sensor is important for Scope Alert accuracy.
Check that this is set correctly by tapping the Settings wheel > Boat Set Up and selecting the correct distance from Bow Roller to Depth Sensor.
How the Anchor Alert Scope Alert works
For Pro users with a DataHub, the Scope Alert on the DataHub is really four alerts set in the DataHub: 1. Low, 2. Scope, 3. Medium, and 4. High.
If the wind speed increases and your scenario changes from triggering the Low alert to the Scope alert, or from the Medium alert to the High alert, you receive a Cleared Alert (green colour) before receiving the newly triggered alert (red colour). This might be a little confusing but it is by design.
What matters is that the triggers for real alerts (red colour) are accurate.
