Having trouble connecting your DataHub Pro to the internet using your own local SIM card?
Follow these troubleshooting steps to check your settings and get connected.
The DataHub Pro has a built-in 4G/LTE modem and supports using your own compatible SIM card from a local cellular provider.
If you have inserted a local SIM card but cannot connect to the internet, work through the following steps in order.
Step 1: Check that PredictWind Mode is OFF
PredictWind Mode is a firewall designed to limit internet traffic to supported PredictWind services.
When enabled, it blocks general internet access for other apps and devices, even when your local SIM card has an active internet connection.
To check PredictWind Mode:
Connect your phone, tablet or computer to the DataHub Pro Wi-Fi network (PW-Hub-XXXX).
Open a web browser such as Chrome or Safari.
Enter 10.10.10.1 in the address bar.
Log in to your DataHub Pro.
Navigate to Services > Settings > Internet Status.
Scroll down to PredictWind Mode.
If PredictWind Mode is enabled, click DISABLE.
When PredictWind Mode is disabled, the firewall should return to All Open, allowing normal internet access, subject to any restrictions from your SIM provider.

For more information, see DataHub Pro: How to use PredictWind Mode.
Step 2: Check your local SIM card's APN settings
The APN (Access Point Name) tells the DataHub Pro how to connect to your cellular provider's data network.
An incorrect APN can prevent your local SIM card from connecting to the internet.
To check your APN:
Connect to your DataHub Pro at 10.10.10.1.
Navigate to Services > Settings > LTE/SIM Card.
Click the blue WIZARD button.
Select your SIM card's Country, Provider and Plan.
Check that the APN shown matches the APN supplied by your cellular provider.
Click SET to save the APN and network settings.
If you are unsure which APN to use, contact your SIM card provider and ask them to confirm the correct APN for your SIM and data plan.
Do not assume that the APN used by another SIM card from the same country will work with yours.
Step 3: Power-cycle your DataHub Pro after clicking SET

After entering the correct APN and clicking SET, power-cycle your DataHub Pro to ensure the LTE modem reconnects using the updated settings.
To do this:
Confirm that you have clicked SET to save the APN.
Disconnect the power supply from the DataHub Pro.
Wait approximately 10 seconds.
Reconnect the power supply.
Allow the DataHub Pro to restart fully.
Wait approximately 3–5 minutes for the SIM card to register with the cellular network.
Alternatively, you can use Services > Maintenance > REBOOT to restart the DataHub Pro through its web interface.

Step 4: Check the LTE connection status
Once the DataHub Pro has restarted:
Open 10.10.10.1.
Navigate to Services > Internet Status.
Locate the LTE USB Modem status widget.
Check whether the modem displays Status: Connected.
When successfully connected, the LTE USB Modem widget should be green.
If the status shows Disconnected, Not Registered, or No Service, continue with the checks below.
Step 5: Check that your SIM card is active and correctly installed
Make sure:
Your local SIM card has been activated by your cellular provider.
Your SIM plan includes mobile data and has an available data allowance.
The SIM is compatible with 4G/LTE service.
Your provider supports the DataHub Pro's LTE modem and the cellular bands available in your location.
Any SIM PIN requirement has been disabled or otherwise accommodated.
The SIM card is inserted correctly, facing upwards in the SIM tray, and is securely seated.
If you are unsure whether your SIM is active, contact your cellular provider.

Step 6: Check your LTE antenna and cellular coverage
A local SIM card will only work when the DataHub Pro can connect to a compatible cellular network.
Check the following:
Ensure the LTE antenna is securely connected to the DataHub Pro's LTE antenna connector.
Position the antenna upright, approximately 45–90 degrees, for better reception.
Confirm that your location has suitable 4G/LTE coverage from your SIM provider.
If the DataHub Pro is installed below deck or in an area with poor reception, consider whether the installation location is affecting signal strength.

Step 7: Check whether another internet connection is being used
If your DataHub Pro is also connected to Starlink, marina Wi-Fi, an Ethernet WAN connection or a mobile hotspot, it may be using that connection rather than your local SIM.
Check Services > Internet Status to identify which internet connections are active.
If you need to confirm whether your local SIM works independently, temporarily disconnect the other internet sources and check the LTE USB Modem status again.
Remember to restore your normal connections once testing is complete.
Still not working?
If your local SIM is still not connecting after completing these steps, please contact PredictWind Support.
To help us troubleshoot, please provide:
Your current country and location.
The name of your local SIM provider.
The APN you have entered.
A screenshot of Services > Settings > LTE/SIM Card showing the modem status and settings. Please hide any sensitive SIM or account information.
A screenshot of Services > Internet Status.
Your DataHub Pro firmware version.
Confirmation that you have disabled PredictWind Mode and power-cycled the DataHub Pro after clicking SET.
Our support team can then investigate whether the issue is related to the APN, SIM registration, cellular coverage or modem configuration.
