For example if the wind pattern is uniform around your forecast location, the forecast has more certainty, but if there are significant wind changes nearby, you need to take this into consideration as potential for the forecast to be incorrect.

In the example below, both forecast locations have very different wind strengths and directions, and will be very susceptible to a slight shift in the wind pattern. This is where a high-resolution model should be viewed, PWE 1km, PWG 1km, AROME, HRRR , NAM.

A high-resolution forecast refers to a weather prediction that provides detailed, fine-scale information about atmospheric conditions over a small geographic area and shorter time intervals. Unlike standard forecasts, which cover broader areas and may generalize conditions, high-resolution forecasts use advanced models with more data points to offer greater accuracy. This allows for more precise predictions about wind, temperature, precipitation, and other variables
