What to do when box arrives
Connect the GPS antenna
a)Connect antenna (Small black antenna in box) to the unit if you are using the device GPS, (also attach if using your boat's N2K cable as a backup antenna.)
b) If you are going to use your boat's NMEA 2000 (N2K), plug cable into N2K socket on the back of DataHub.
2.Plug the DataHub into AC/DC power supply with power cord provided or you can directly power from the vessel’s house battery bank (Instructions in the manual page 3.)
You will notice a blue status LED on the top of the unit illuminates when the unit is correctly powered on.
3.After a few minutes of the DataHub being ON, it will emit a Wi-Fi signal, Connect your computer or mobile device to the DataHub Wi-Fi network. It will look like this in the list of available Wi-Fi networks on your device PW-Hub-XXXX
4.Open a Web browser tab (such as Chrome Or Safari) and enter 10.10.10.1 - this will open the PW-HUB which is the control centre of the DataHub

7. Connecting the DataHub to an Internet connection
You can connect the DataHub to land based Wi-Fi, your cellular connection, Iridium Satellite system ( eg Iridium GO! exec), or Starlink.
There are 3 Ways to make this connection.
Via Ethernet Cable, Wi-Fi, or Mobile charging cable ( Android or iOS)
Via Ethernet Cable.
Run an Ethernet cable from your vessel's Wi-Fi router LAN port to the port labelled WAN on the DataHub. The DataHub should be connected to the internet, it may take a minute or so.. To Check Service> Settings >Internet Status and the interface WAN box should be GREEN.
2.Via Mobile - IOS device (Apple)
Use a standard lightning iOS USB charging cable to connect your iPhone or iPad to the USB port on the DataHub.
Once connected, iOS will prompt you whether the DataHub should be trusted or not. Select Trust. Turn your Hotspot on. On the iOS device, navigate to Settings > Personal Hotspot and enable it as depicted below.
To Check Service>Settings>Internet Status and the interface ios box should be GREEN.
After around 45 seconds, you should see the iOS connection connected and turn green in the Settings > Internet Status page
b) Via Mobile - Android
Connect the device’s USB charging cable to the DataHub’s USB connection.
On the Android device now navigate to Settings > Network & Internet > Hotspot & Tethering and enable USB tethering.
The DataHub should now be connected to the internet.
You will need to repeat the process every time you disconnect and reconnect the Android device to the DataHub’s USB port.
3. Via Wi-Fi (Iridium GO exec, 4G/5G cellular, or an other Wi-Fi Router)
To connect via Wi-Fi, browse to Services > Settings> Wi-Fi.
Under Wi-Fi Overview, you will see a box called Wi-Fi Network to Internet.
This can be used to connect the DataHub to the internet via a Wi-Fi link.
Click SCAN to list all the available Wi-Fi access points near you.
Select the one you desire to connect to and tap JOIN NETWORK.
Enter your Wi-Fi password in box WPA PARAPHASE
Click SUBMIT

On the following page, review and click SAVE at the bottom of the page.
Back on the wireless overview page, scroll to the bottom and push SAVE & APPLY to confirm your settings and activate them.
To Check Service>Settings>Internet Status and the interface, wwan box should be GREEN. (May take a couple of minutes to show.)
On the Iridium GO! exec the box will be red as it is not permanently connected to the internet like land based Wifi or cellular.
Now your DataHub is set up.

Setting up your GPS Tracking page
PredictWind provides a tracking and blogging service that allows friends and family to experience, participate, and interact with you during your travels. The tracking and blogging service requires a Standard or Professional Forecast subscription, a DataHub or a satellite device compatible with the service, and a one-time setup and registration. Below are screenshots of a tracking page at http://tracking.predictwind.com/MV_Bliss showing current location, current weather conditions, latest tracks and a list of blog posts. The tracks were acquired and posted to the site using the PredictWind DataHub described in this document.
1. PREFERRED METHOD.
On your phone or tablet with active internet connection
Get started by scanning the QR code on the back of your DataHub device. (Not QR on the box)
To scan, hold your phone camera over the QR Code and click on picture when a yellow box appears.
This will take you to the tracking setup page for your DataHub.
Alternate method. Please only use if necessary. Click on the following link.
https://satellite.predictwind.com/dashboard/activate/confirm?type=datahub And enter the MAC address. The MAC address can be found on the bottom of the unit
2. Select New Customer or Existing Customer, then log in.
3. If you are a new customer only, Input your account email, vessel type and boat name
4. The mac address will be autofilled and is also on the back of the DataHub device. Confirm the DataHub Mac address matches the MAC address on the bottom of your DataHub.
Select the PredictWind Onboarding Service if you require technical support with your DataHub set up or Continue without Onboarding Service
NOTE: If you select Continue with Onboarding Service, you will be taken to payment and checkout.
5. You will receive a confirmation that your GPS Tracking page has been successfully set up and an email with further instructions. Check your junk email folder if you don’t see it in your inbox.
6. Once you have your tracking page set up, the next step is to enable tracking on the DataHub itself.
Connect your device to the DataHub internet.
Log back in to 10.10.10.1
To enable tracking, browse to the Services > Tracking page.
Once there, check the Enable Tracking checkbox,
Press the Save & Apply button at the bottom of the page to start the tracking service.
To set the Tracking Interval to the desired value. The default tracking interval is 60 minutes per position report. This value is fine for sailing vessels on a long passage. Faster moving vessels or day trippers may want to decrease the interval period.
Press the Save & Apply button at the bottom of the page to start the tracking service.
This concludes the GPS Tracking setup. You should now be able to see tracks on your tracking/blogging portal at PredictWind provided you have valid GPS information and an internet connection to the DataHub.
