PredictCurrent App:

The PredictCurrent App was developed specifically for users who require advanced and comprehensive Tidal and Ocean Current data. Detailed Tables including wind against current, SST (Sea Surface Temperature), wave/wind maps, and high/low tide times and heights easily accessible on their iPhones. It's particularly useful for fishermen, dinghy sailors, pro-circuit racing, or day sailors who may not need the routing and departure planning features offered by PredictWind's standard/pro subscriptions.

The PredictCurrent App offers:

  1. A dashboard of the current/wind/wave/tidal height in a simple, easy-to-understand format.

  2. The current data is available on the tables page; this is not available in the PredictWind App, PredictWind website or Offshore App.

  3. Wind against tide warnings to spot unsafe conditions.

  4. The PredictCurrent App offers the tidal and ocean current data at less than half the price of a PredictWind Standard subscription.

Note—PredictCurrent does not have a webview and is only available on iPhones at present. The Android version will be released at a later date to be confirmed.

GRIBS are not available to download with a PredictCurrent subscription.

PredictWind:

If you have a standard or professional subscription to PredictWind, you already have access to the PredictCurrent dataset within the PredictWind website, PredictWind App, and Offshore App, so there's no need to purchase the data separately. Here's a breakdown of what each subscription level offers:

**STANDARD:**

With the PredictWind standard subscription, you gain access to our highly accurate Tidal and Ocean Current Maps at resolutions of 100m, 400m, and 4km for most coastlines and Oceans globally. To view this data in the PredictWind App or PredictWind Website, go to the Main Menu > Click on Current Maps under Forecast options.

You can view the coverage map here.

Note: The PredictCurrent dashboard is not available in PredictWind.

**PROFESSIONAL:**

The PredictWind professional subscription takes it a step further by providing detailed Ocean/Tidal Currents analysis within any weather routing and departure planning calculations. Additionally, you can download GRIB files with the professional level of PredictWind forecast subscription to access to high-resolution tidal GRIBS, IBI tidal GRIBS, and global ocean current GRIBs for Hycom, Mercator, and RTOFS within the Offshore App.
