Sail polars describe your boats performance for a range of true wind angles in any given weather situation. Setting the Sail polar up in your PredictWind account is important for an accurate Weather Route and Departure Plan.
Under Weather Routing, click on Sail Routing.
Tap on the Settings cog top right in the PredictWind App, then Sail Polar Settings.
Open Preferences, Sail Type select from Predefined, Sail, Advanced or AI Polar.
Note: Advanced and AI Polar require initial setup on the PredictWind Forecast website.
Make your selection.
Tap the back arrow until you get back to the Sail Routing Map page.
Tap on the Download Arrow to validate your polars and run a Weather Route, this will SET the Sail polar in your account to be used across all platforms.
Wave Polar
Please note, only enable your Wave Polar under your Sail Polars in the PredictWind App after you have entered your boat dimensions by logging in to your account at https://forecast.predictwind.com/login/ Full set up instructions on Wave Polars can be found here
