Anchor Alert Pro - Error message starting an alert session

Troubleshooting for Anchor App Error Setting Alerts - Please retry

If you see the message Error Setting Alerts - Please retry when starting an Anchor Alert App alert session, please check the following:

1. DataHub Firmware is up to date.

Check that the DataHub Firmware version is 4.28 or later. To update your DataHub Firmware, please read this article.

2. The Anchor Alert app is up to date.

Please delete the Anchor Alert app on your phone and download the latest Anchor Alert App from the App Store.

3. Anchor Alert App Settings > DataHub Connection - IP address and username/password settings are correct

  1. Open the Anchor Alert App Settings > DataHub Connection and tap to enable Edit IP Address and Port.

  2. Check that the username is admin and the password is correct.

  3. Set the IP address of the DataHub on your other network, e.g. 192.168.1.x, and ensure the DataHub username and password are correct. Tap Done.

  4. Force close and reopen the Anchor Alert App by dragging up from the bottom of the screen, then swiping up. Finally, connect to your preferred Wi-Fi network and reopen the Anchor Alert app.

4. Force close the app, reopen and start again

The Anchor Alert app may be running on your DataHub, and yet the app is unaware. To reset the Anchor Alert app on the DataHub so you can start again:

  1. Force close the Anchor Alert app by dragging up from the middle of the bottom of the screen. Then, when it is small and in the middle, swipe up.

  2. Make sure you're on DataHub Wi-Fi, then reopen the app.

  3. Wait about 30 seconds.

  4. Start a new alert session.

5. Enable Remote Access and Contact PredictWind Support.

  2. Email support@predictwind.com with the URLs generated, and please add the following:

    1. Whether you are using N2K and boat instruments or the built-in GPS.

    2. Which iOS device type you are using (iPhone/iPad model) and iOS version number e.g. 18.5.
