To download PredictWind weather information using an Iridium GO! or Iridium GO exec, you need both an active Iridium airtime plan and a Standard or Professional PredictWind Forecast subscription.
The Iridium airtime plan provides your Iridium device with satellite connectivity, allowing you to make calls, send messages and transfer data when offshore. Your Iridium airtime service is managed separately through the PredictWind Satellite Portal, where you can activate, change or cancel your airtime plan.
Your PredictWind Forecast subscription provides access to PredictWind weather and routing features, including GRIB files, Weather Routing, Departure Planning, Wave Routing and GMDSS forecasts. A Standard or Professional PredictWind Forecast subscription is required to download PredictWind weather information through your Iridium GO! or GO exec.
If you only want to use your Iridium device for calls and messaging, you do not need a paid PredictWind Forecast subscription.
If you need to upgrade your PredictWind Forecast subscription, you can do this through the PredictWind App or by logging in to the PredictWind Forecast Website. Select a Standard or Professional subscription to access PredictWind weather features through your Iridium GO! or GO exec.
