If your Iridium GO exec will not power on or boot up, please check the following:

  • Is the battery fully charged? Tip: It is best to maintain a battery charge as indicated on the LCD screen of greater than 15%

  • If the touchscreen is showing to be blank and unresponsive, it could be due to the device being placed in "Storage Mode" accidentally.

  • Fully charge the device using the supplied charger plugged directly into a wall power socket or AC power supply on the boat with the Inverter ON. Plug the cable into the second USB-C port on the device. This is the second port from the bottom of your Iridium GO exec.

  • Lift the internal antenna.

  • Hold the power button for up to 15 seconds until it lights up the LCD screen.

  • If you cannot power on the device, please factory reset the Iridium GO! exec by opening the SIM cover, and with a paperclip or similar (nothing sharp), push the small physical reset button located inside the SIM cover down for 15 seconds

  • If a factory reset is unsuccessful, try repeatedly plugging and unplugging the GO exec's factory wall outlet charger and the USB C cable to the Iridium Go Exec several times to see if that triggers it to power on.

To use this method, when it is already plugged in to charge, first unplug it. Then, wait 10 seconds and plug it back in for 30 seconds to see if any lights light up. If nothing, unplug it again for 10 seconds, and then repeat this process up to 10 times to get the charging to kick in.

Note: for this method to work it has to be plugged into the correct USB C plug. This is the second one from the bottom.

Note: Once you have powered up your Iridium GO exec, please make sure you have the latest Iridium GO exec firmware as this fixes some power issues.
