If you're not receiving remote data updates while using the Anchor Alert app, please check the following:
Start the Anchor Alert session in Advanced mode while connected to DataHub Wi-Fi. The Anchor Alert app starts the anchor alert on the DataHub. This is required for the DataHub to begin updating the N2K data over the internet every minute or so. If you're not sure whether you were connected to DataHub Wi-Fi or not, please stop the current session, connect to DataHub Wi-Fi and try again.
If you didn't see the wind speed and depth displayed when you started the Anchor Alert session, then likely you are running the Anchor Alert app in simple mode based on your device's GPS.
Ensure your DataHub is connected to the Internet via Starlink / Peplink / 4/5G Router or a GO exec before leaving the boat. If using the GO exec, check the setting under Internet > Iridium GO! Exec > Polars/Anchor Alert App via Iridium is enabled so that remote updates will be sent. Alerts will always be sent.
Ensure the DataHub Internet source is powered ON. Do not turn off your Starlink / Peplink / 4/5G Router or a GO exec before leaving the boat.
Check N2K instruments are powered on. The DataHub uploads your current N2K data each minute while actively monitoring the anchor. Please check your instruments are powered on and the DataHub has internet access. If using the GO exec, data updates will be every 15 minutes. Via Starlink, cellular or high-speed Wi-Fi data is updated each minute.
Drop the app into the background and reopen the app. This prompts the app to check your connectivity, identify that it is remote and start listening for the N2K update feed. N2K updates will be shown on the Anchor Map page with the current boat position, the Anchor Data and N2K Data pages. Alternatively, you can tap from the N2K data page onto another page in the app, and back. Tapping the Refresh button will update to the latest available data stored on the server.
