If you've bought a second-hand PredictWind DataHub, complete these steps before you start using it.
Important: The previous owner must contact PredictWind Support to remove the DataHub from their GPS Tracking page before you can set up GPS Tracking on your own account.
Either you or the previous owner can complete the remaining steps.
Step 1: Ask the previous owner to unlink the DataHub
Send the previous owner this article:
Ask them to:
Contact Support and ask to speak to a person in Support to confirm they've sold their DataHub to you.
Ask Support to remove the DataHub serial number from their GPS Tracking webpage.
Note: PredictWind's Support team must manually remove the serial number from their account and GPS Tracking page. The previous owner should request this directly from us.
Once Support confirms the serial number has been removed, you can set up GPS Tracking under your PredictWind Forecast subscription.
Step 2: Prepare the DataHub for its new owner
Complete the following steps before you start using your second-hand DataHub. Either you or the previous owner can complete them.
Factory Reset the DataHub to remove the previous owner's configuration and restore the factory default settings.
Format the DataHub SD Card to erase stored data, including PredictMail data. The previous owner should download any PredictMail they wish to keep before formatting.
Update the DataHub Firmware to install the latest available firmware.
Set a DataHub Wi-Fi password to secure the DataHub Wi-Fi network.
