To update your YB3i device Firmware to the latest version, before you start:
You will need Internet or cellular data to complete this Firmware update.
Download or update the YB Connect App over cellular data or high-speed Wi-Fi from the Apple App Store or Google PlayStore. If you already have the app on your mobile device, please update it to the latest version first.
Charge your YB3i tracker and phone/tablet to over 40% battery and turn on your YB3i.
You must be able to stay near your device until it has been completed; the process can take up to 20 minutes.
To do the Firmware update, please follow the steps below:
Turn on Bluetooth on your mobile device.
Open the YB Connect App > Select the tracker serial number from the list of selectable units. It should just be your unit.
Because you have a YB3i devib3, not a YB Tracker, which is a different device, you must tap No, this is someone else's tracker when prompted. (Note: If you select 'Yes, this is my tracker', you must enter an unavailable pin.)
Once you have chosen 'No, this is someone else's tracker'
Tap Configure.
In the Configure menu, under Settings, tap Advanced.
Tap Update.
Follow the prompts.
