Before you start
Do you have a PredictMail account?
If you do not have a PredictMail account, please set one up first in the Satellite Portal.
Have you set up PredictMail on the DataHub?
Please set up PredictMail on the DataHub before you set up PredictMail on your iPhone or iPad. This will ensure that after you reconnect your iOS device to the DataHub Wi-Fi, it will not report an error when it attempts to check PredictMail.
Connect to the Internet via your device's cellular data, home or another high-speed Wi-Fi, or a hot spot from another device. Disconnect from and do not use DataHub Wi-Fi during the PredictMail setup.
This guide has been written using AppleMail for iOS 16-18 on an iPhone. If you use a different version of iOS, the steps, screens, and options may differ slightly.
Apple Mail for iPad/iPhone set up for PredictMail
To setup Apple Mail for PredictMail on your iPhone/iPad, tap the device Settings menu, then:
iOS 18 - Swipe down and tap Apps > Mail > Mail Accounts > Add Account.
iOS 16/17 - Swipe down and tap Mail > Accounts > Add Account.
Tap the account type Other at the bottom of the screen, then Add Mail Account.
Type in your Name, Predicmail Email Address, Password & Description and tap Next.
Tap the account type POP top right of the screen.
Type in the PredictMail Incoming Mail Server details:
Host Name: predictmail.com
Username: Your PredictMail email address (all lowercase)
Password: Your PredictMail password
Type in the PredictMail Outgoing Mail Server Details:
Host Name: predictmail.com
Username: Your PredictMail email address (all lowercase)
Password: Your PredictMail password
Tap Save to verify your settings. Verification may take 1-2 minutes to complete.
8. Important next step - Apple Mail Recommend Advanced Settings
Configuring the Advanced Settings in your Apple Mail PredictMail account is important to manage deleted mail. By default, when you delete mail in the app, it is not deleted from the server. This means when you switch between Wi-Fi networks or cellular and DataHub Wi-FI, mail you have already deleted may be downloaded again.
Apple Mail can be configured to delete mail from the server "When removed from Inbox", which it will do the next time the email is synced. When you delete mail, check your email again by dragging down on the Inbox to sync the deleted items immediately.
If you still find deleted mail reappears in your Inbox, this means either it was downloaded from the Internet directly and then deleted when your device was connected to DataHub Wi-Fi, or vice versa. When this happens, delete the message and swipe down again to delete it where it is stored on the source you are now connected to.
To configure Apple Mail Advanced Settings (recommended) to delete mail from the server:
On the Mail Accounts screen, tap to open your PredictMail account, swipe down and tap Advanced at the bottom of the page.
In the Deleted Messages section, tap Remove and select After one day.
Tap < Advanced in the top left to return to Advanced settings.
In the Incoming Settings section, tap Delete from Server and select When removed from Inbox.
Tap <Back in the top left to return to Advanced settings.
Tap <Predictmail to return to the mail PredictMail settings menu and tap Done.
Congratulations! You have now set up Apple Mail for iOS.
If you have completed DataHub setup and Step 1 - Setup PredictMail on the DataHub, connect to DataHub Wi-Fi to use Apple Mail with your DataHub.

Troubleshooting
Change your PredictMail password
If you forgot your PredictMail password, you can reset it in the Satellite Portal. Click on your PredictMail Account, then click Change Password.
