If the Offshore App is connected to the GO exec Wi-Fi or DataHub Wi-Fi and displays the error message "Error: Data service not ready" when attempting to download.
It is possible that on start-up, the GO exec had no Iridium satellite signal strength. This may occur if the device is started inside a vessel and is using the internal (paddle) antenna. Although the device may show a strong signal now, if it had a poor signal when powered up, it will not be able to open a data connection later until rebooted with good coverage.
Power off the GO exec, wait a minute to confirm it is completely powered off then power it on again, on deck where there is good signal strength.
Close and reopen the Offshore App and retry after reconnecting to the GO exec or DataHub Wi-Fi.
TIP: It is important that the GO exec unit on deck without the external antenna has a clear open view of the sky.
