Android Outlook Set up for PredictMail
Note: You will need to have created a PredictMail account before completing this process. Click here to create a PredictMail account.
Go to the Play Store, and download the Microsoft Outlook App. Open the Outlook App on your Android device while connected to the regular internet (not connected to the DataHub) even if the DataHub is connected to the Internet. Use a hotspot from another phone, for example, or marina Wi-Fi. Then select Add Account.
Type in the PredictMail email you have registered for. Eg johnsmith@predictmail.com
Click on Continue
Select the account type as POP3
Fill out all the information in the fields provided. Please make sure each field is completed, and you double check (especially port numbers) before clicking on the white Tick top right of the App.
Enter your Email Address: eg johnsmith@predictmail.com
Enter Display Name: eg John Smith
Enter Pop Host Name: predictmail.com
Enter Port: 995

Enter your POP Username: eg johnsmith@predictmail.com
Enter password that your registered with PredictMail. Click on the "eye"logo to view the password and double check. Passwords are case sensitive.
Enter SMTP Outgoing Email Server: predictmail.com
Change security type: StartTls
Enter Port: 587
Enter: SMTP Username: eg johnsmith@predictmail.com
Enter SMTP password: Enter password that your registered with PredictMail. Click on the "eye"logo to view the password and double check. Passwords are case sensitive.
Click on the white Tick at the top right of the App. It will then attempt to verify the account and log in. Please note, this needs to be done when connected to regular internet, NOT to the DataHub, even if the DataHub is connected to the Internet. A hotspot from another phone, for example, or home Wi-Fi.
Select Maybe Later
Select NEW Email to test sending your first email, send an email to your regular land based email account to test the service.
On you regular email account check that you have received the email, and then reply. On the Android Outlook App drag the white screen down to check for your reply.
With a PredictWind DataHub, you have the ability to send email through the DataHub while connected to its Wi-Fi. This document here will cover the steps necessary to allow the DataHub to compress emails, and to be sent through the Iridium GO or Iridium Go! exec while offshore.
Quick Tips
To find missing email in Outlook for Android switch off Focused Inbound and Organize by thread. To change these:
Tap the House icon.
Tap the Settings cog icon.
Swipe down to the Email section.
Disable Focused Inbox.
Disable Organize by thread.
