How to add a Forecast Alert to your calendar if the link in the email does not open in your email client

Some email clients and platforms cannot click the link in the Forecast Alerts email to Add Alerts to my Calendar.

Below are steps to add the alerts to your calendar:

Mac Calendar App

Click on the link to open your calendar feed and follow the steps prompted. Your device’s Calendar app will automatically add the calendar feed.

  • Open Calendar

  • Click Subscribe

  • Add a name of your choosing

  • Choose a Location: iCloud or On my Mac

  • Set Auto-Refresh to Every Hour; the default is Every Week.

  • Select OK

Windows 10 Calendar App

Webcal feeds are not compatible with the Windows 10 Calendar App. See your Calendar feed here: https://forecast.predictwind.com/alerts/calendar-url

Google Calendar (On Mac & Windows PC)

Google Calendar cannot automatically add the feed; however, it is easy to do.

  • Open Google Calendar in a web browser

  • On the left-hand of the window, look for Other Calendars and click the + button.

  • In the pop-up, choose From URL

  • Paste the link you copied above into the URL of the Calendar field

  • Click Add Calendar

Google Calendar(iOS/Android)

You cannot add calendar feeds in the Google Calendar App, however adding it to Google Calendar in a web browser will make it available in the App after you activate it from the App Settings.

  • Add the feed to your Google Calendar using the instructions: Google Calendar (ON Mac & PC)

  • Open the Google Calendar App on your iOS/Android device

  • Tap to open Google Calendar App Settings

  • Under the account that the feed was added to, tap on the option ‘webcal://forecast…..’. If if is not visible, tap Show More.

  • Turn On Sync
